MYSTIC SPRINGS RENEWABLE ENERGY

Mystic Springs Renewable Energy is a proposed 250-megawatt solar project on approximately 2,500 acres of privately owned land in Kaufman and Hunt Counties, Texas. Alongside its solar capabilities, there is potential for an adjunct 250-megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This project could become operational as soon as the end of 2026, offering long-lasting economic benefits to taxpayers, school districts, community colleges, hospitals, and the local government.

If implemented, the storage component would allow Mystic Springs Renewable Energy to store extra solar power generated when demand is low to use when demand for energy increases, which will help provide affordable, reliable energy when it’s needed most.
